Nie wieder Blindflug: Die Anti-Fog-Beschichtung deiner Goggle richtig pflegen.

Never fly blind again: Properly care for the anti-fog coating of your goggles.

There's hardly anything more frustrating than suddenly seeing nothing but fog in the middle of pow-pow or on the motocross track. Your visibility is gone, and the ride is ruined.

Your MARRON goggles come with a high-end anti-fog coating that ensures crystal-clear vision. But be careful: this technology is delicate. Improper handling risks rendering it ineffective.

Here we show you how to properly care for your anti-fog ski goggles or MX goggles so that you don't have to fly blind.

1. Hands off! The golden anti-fog rule

This is the most important point: The anti-fog coating is located on the inside of your glass. Its function is to absorb moisture before it condenses into droplets.

What you should NEVER do:

  • Rubbing with your finger: Your fingers leave behind grease and dirt that damage the delicate coating. This is a death sentence for any anti-fog function .
  • Wipe with snow: Snow is sharp! The crystals act like sandpaper and ruin the coating.
  • Avoid using aggressive cleaners: Alcohol or window cleaners will attack the chemical composition of the coating.

Note: The inside is off-limits for anything that rubs or foams aggressively. If you need to remove dirt, only dab gently – see point 3.

2. The drying strategy (The best way after the ride)

You're finished, your goggles are damp – that's normal. Improper drying is the most common mistake.

  • Proper ventilation: Remove the goggles from the helmet and let them air dry . A well-ventilated, warm (not hot!) place is ideal.
  • Foam killer: Make sure the foam isn't left to rot for hours in a damp bag or backpack. That's the perfect breeding ground for mold and germs that will attack your ski goggles .
  • Heat alert: Never place your goggles on a radiator, above a fireplace, or in direct sunlight. Extreme heat can loosen the adhesive and warp the lenses. We want custom eyewear here, not Dali art!

3. The MARRON Emergency Clean (Outside only)

The outside of the lenses is more robust. Dirt and mud from the trail or slope must of course be removed.

  1. Rinse carefully: Hold the glass under lukewarm, clean water to loosen coarse dirt particles. Do not rub!
  2. Pat dry: Only the outside can be patted dry with a special microfiber cloth (such as the one supplied by MARRON) or a soft eyeglass cloth .
  3. The inside: If the inside is heavily soiled, use only a drop of clean water and **dab extremely gently** with the corner of a microfiber cloth – and only if absolutely necessary. It's better to let it get damp and then dry.

Do you need a new statement?

If your anti-fog coating finally gives up the ghost after years of hard work – no problem. You can order replacement lenses at any time using the configurator and give your old frame a fresh, clear look.

Conclusion: Treat your goggles with respect, keep your fingers away from the inside, and they will provide you with crystal-clear vision for years to come. Then you can concentrate on what they were built for: **Going full throttle without compromise.**
